6 Wedding Planning Tips!

So you're Engaged! Congratulations!

Before you begin planning, here are the first 6 things you need to do now:

1. Settle on a budget

Make a realistic budget and stick to it. Think about what is most important to you. If you overspend in one area then you need to cut back on something else.

2. Begin gathering names for the guest list.

Be selective with your guest list. Trying to determine your guest list early will allow you to find a venue that works for your guest count. It's one of the hardest decision in the planning process.

3. Narrow down 2-3 potential dates.

Most couples begin their planning process with a particular venue in mind. If the venue is a popular one, you need to have a few dates to work with just in case your first date doesn't work out.

4. Decide on Location; City or State(Local) or Destination (Statewide or International)

One of the other things to consider is whether you want a local wedding or destination. Destination does not have to be international. It can also be in a different city or state. FYI, sometimes a international destination wedding can be more cost effective than a local or stateside destination.

5. Get Organized

It may be a lot of work, but it is possible to plan your dream wedding while having lots of fun. Be sure to keep all your ideas, contacts, documents, and all wedding items in one place. Make a to-do-lists.

6. Don't forget what's important

Wedding planning can be stressful, there's no denying that. Once you book your date/ time and venue, everything else will begin to fall into place. Try to enjoy and cherish the process. Remember your wedding is really about marrying the one of your life so and relax!

Happy Planning!!
